Midnight Florals

Lately, most of my paintings have taken inspiration from the Dutch & Flemish artists of the 1600s (Rachel Ruysch, Maria van Oosterwijck, Abraham Mignon), who painted bold, colorful blooms against a dark background. Midnight Florals is a nod to those artists and that aesthetic.

Each piece is a generative still-life bouquet built in p5.js: a vase, a floral bouquet, and everything else falling to black abstraction.

An edition of 111. Token traits are locked in at mint, and styles are interchangeable by the holder.

Through Art Blocks' Customize Artwork, the holder switches the piece between five styles and locks their preferred style on-chain:

Shardmosh — the bouquet shattered into mosaic

Datebleed — system error, glitch

Whispers — reimagined as flowing strands

Geometrika — reduced to geometric minimalism
